Ken Kirby, a Metallurgist with an honours degree and a PhD in Metallurgy and Materials Science, joined Brookes Bell in September 2006. Prior to joining Brookes Bell, Ken worked for 10 years as a Research and Development Metallurgist where his work focussed on developing new processing and production techniques for ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. Ken has provided expert opinions on metallurgical analysis, failure investigation and the properties of mineral cargoes.

Matthew Calveley graduated with an honours degree in forensic engineering. Matthew has previous experience conducting marine and industrial based failure investigations. He recently spent time as a process metallurgist working with corrosion resistant alloys. Whilst at university he gained experience working in an electron microscopy department.
