Serdar Isik, a Naval Architect, joined Brookes Bell in January, 2011 as an Associate.  Prior to joining Brookes Bell, Serdar worked for 23 years in ship classification and statutory certification, gaining great experience in plan approval, surveys for new buildings, ships in service and naval materials, tonnage and loadline computations and stability approvals and as the assistant manager of Bureau Veritas Middle-East Marine Centre. In Paris, Serdar developed the concept of the Damage and Repair Control Centre, where he was the manager for 7 years, monitoring the classed fleet and supporting the survey network.  He worked as a Principal Surveyor in rule development, mainly on ultra large container ships, he was later the manager of the Maritime Labour Department. Serdar was also Marine Surveyor (Naval Architect) for 3 years for the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry based in the Caribbean.  He lectured extensively in naval architecture and ship structural damages.  Serdar is qualified as ISM and ISO9000 Lead Auditor and holds an Honours Degree in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding and an MBA.

Andrew Worrall, a Naval Architect and Chartered Engineer with an honours degree in Naval Architecture and Small Craft Engineering, joined Brookes Bell in March 2008. Andrew joined us after 12 years at Lloyd's Register EMEA working for the Ship Emergency Response Service, (SERS). During this time he was a member of the Emergency Response team providing strength, stability and floatability analysis, (using Seasafe, Napa and Hecsalv software) for a variety of ship types including tankers, bulk carriers, container ships and passenger ships. Andrew has also provided training courses in Emergency Response and Emergency Preparedness. Since joining the company he has worked on casualty investigations, (including assessment of strength and stability following hull girder failure, collisions, groundings and capsize), cargo loading disputes and new-build disputes. Andrew has attended arbitration as an expert witness.
