Aadeela Zumla is an Integrity Engineer and Senior Plant Inspector with over ten years’ experience in the heavy industry sector, specialising in marine, offshore and land-based heavy production.
Aadeela is certified by the American Petroleum Institute (API) as a Piping Inspector (API 570) and Pressure Vessels Inspector (API 510), and by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) as a Senior Plant Inspector (ASME Level 2).
Prior to joining Brookes Bell, Aadeela was responsible for the inspection, maintenance and repairs of various FPSO and fixed offshore assets for Operators in the North Sea. Managing large teams of NDT technicians, Aadeela provided integrity engineering analysis, condition evaluation (including Fitness for Service - FFS) and scope management for offshore pipework, pressure vessels and structures.
Aadeela was responsible for identifying damage mechanisms, creating inspection plans and evaluating repair options.
Non-destructive Engineering – Testing and Evaluation
Aadeela is certified by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing in both conventional and advanced non-destructive testing methods.
In addition to her comprehensive knowledge of the four main conventional NDT methods, Aadeela has extensive experience of both Ultrasonic and Electromagnetic test methods including: pulse echo ultrasonics, condition monitoring, multiple skip ultrasonics, tangential eddy current, pulsed eddy current and eddy current array testing of welds and tubular products.
Aadeela has spent the last decade providing technical support and expert advice, working both on and offshore, to the marine, mining and oil and gas industries across the globe.
