Salvage and Wreck Removal

When you need salvage and wreck removal experts, our in-house team of SCR Master Mariners, Naval Architects, Marine, Civil and Mechanical Engineers provide a one-stop shop for specialist marine advice, consultation and project management.

Recognising the need for advanced project management for casualty investigations and salvage/wreck removal operations, we can provide a wide and multi-disciplined service whatever your need:

  • On-site survey and damage assessment
  • In house GHS and structural modelling
  • Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment
  • SCR for LOF/SCOPIC contracts
  • Cargo science
  • Pollution control and damage assessment
  • Preparation of ITT documentation and tender evaluation
  • On-site monitoring of salvage and wreck removal with comprehensive reporting

Working together, our Master Mariners and Naval Architects will use in-house proprietary software to carry out flooding simulations to consider actual foundering situations, including the effect of progressive flooding, wind and waves, and external forces. Our finite element capability also includes the ability to analyse major structural failures such as collapse from buckling and large-scale deformation from grounding or collision. This intelligent approach allows us to build informative models of the relevant area without the need to go through the expensive exercise of modelling entire ships or multiple holds.

We also have the capability to carry out drone surveys as a means of quickly providing an overview of a casualty, particularly where it may not be possible to gain all round access by land or sea.

As an Associate Member of the International Salvage Union you can rest assured that the Group has fulfilled the membership criteria of consistently providing successful salvage and pollution prevention.
