The Wolf Rock Boat Company, based in Churchstow in the UK, has recently introduced a new series of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) designed to meet a broad spectrum of operational needs.
Each RIB in the series is built around a deep-vee aluminium hull engineered to deliver a smooth ride even under challenging sea conditions. The design improves seaworthiness and long-term durability through a construction that is fully recyclable, reducing the environmental impact of production and operation.
The series comprises two distinct models tailored to different roles:
The first model adheres to what Wolf Rock describes as a “traditional RIB design.” Featuring an inflatable collar, this model is well-suited to various applications, offering operators a familiar yet reliable option for multiple tasks. Its design is optimised to meet standard operational requirements while providing dependable performance in a variety of environments.
The second model uses a cutting-edge D collar system that can be configured to be either inflatable or foam-filled, making it particularly suitable for more specialised roles such as boarding, interception, and offshore support operations. The D collar improves performance, increases internal space, and enhances deck storage capacity, meaning that operators can make more efficient use of the available beam - a significant advantage in mission-critical scenarios.
Furthermore, the modular design of the new RIB series is engineered for ease of maintenance and rapid repair. Damaged sections can be swapped quickly, meaning minimal downtime and consistent operational readiness. This practical feature is expected to provide considerable benefits to operators who demand both reliability and efficiency from their marine assets.
With these new designs, Wolf Rock’s new RIB series will make a significant impact in both commercial and operational maritime environments. As the demand for versatile and resilient vessels grows, this series offers an attractive solution for users seeking enhanced performance without compromising sustainability.
