Naval Architecture

Brookes Bell’s experienced Naval Architects provide a wide range of Naval Architecture Services to marine and offshore clients. With backgrounds in ship design, Class and regulatory compliance, shipbuilding and in-service support, we can fulfil the specific and diverse needs of our clients. Our Naval Architects regularly carry out structural analysis and design, along with intact and damage stability assessments. They also provide manoeuvring and flooding simulations, risk assessments and casualty investigations as well as advising clients on new build compliance and chartering/purchasing disputes.

Using our in-house software, we can offer innovative solutions to improve vessel performance and efficiency. We were one of the first commercial firms to offer hull design using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), an area of Naval Architecture that we continue to be at the forefront of. We were early pioneers of using CFD in passenger comfort for wind and funnel odour assessments and our experts have built up large amounts of expertise using advanced tools to develop novel solutions, regularly advising and assisting Owners, yards and consultancies in the application of this technology.
