Simon is a Chartered Naval Architect, with extensive experience is the design and analysis of ships and marine structures. He has practical experience of working in a repair shipyard and onboard ships, to combine with his technical analysis skills.

He has attended damage surveys and wreck removal operations on behalf of H&M Insurers and P&I Clubs, as well as providing technical advice to national authorities during active salvage cases. He has experience in preparing expert opinion advice on naval architecture issues and has given oral evidence at London Arbitration.
