Career Summary
Chukwudera Egemonye is an Inspection Engineer specialising in the advanced application of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Liverpool and has obtained NDT Level 2 certifications from The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing. His professional certifications include Eddy Current Testing of welds, Ultrasonic Testing of plate & pipe welds (3.1, 3.2), and Magnetic Particle Inspection. He has acquired considerable experience in Pulsed Eddy Current Array (PECA) testing of ferromagnetic materials as well as possessing extensive expertise in conducting corrosion mapping, analysis & evaluating the material state of ship structures and offshore assets.
Chukwudera has applied his technical expertise across a wide range of international projects, including complex assignments in South-East Asia, involving the investigation of welding defects on pipe penetrations during new-build construction. This work required detailed on-site assessment, independent third-party analysis, and the application of advanced non-destructive testing techniques to identify and characterise defects.
Following an extended period on site, Chukwudera produced an expert report based on his investigative findings. The report provided clear, technically robust evidence that was instrumental in resolving a disputed issue between stakeholders and was highly commended by the client for its clarity, depth of analysis, and practical value.
