Brookes Bell welcomes new LNG carrier specialist to Singapore team

Brookes Bell is pleased to welcome Rajeev Tiwari to the team in Singapore as the company continues to onboard experienced talent to serve the Asia region.

He joins Brookes Bell as a Marine Engineer following an extensive 18-year career at sea on board a number of LNG vessels which has led to him becoming an industry expert in LNG engines and mechanical engineering for gas carriers.

Rajeev is a chartered engineer with a First Class Certificate of Competency Motor and a First Class BEng Mechanical Engineering degree in India. He then graduated from the Singapore Maritime Academy with a degree in marine engineering. Most recently, he was a Technical Superintendent with BWEK Singapore where he managed and handled ethylene and refrigerated LPG vessels.

I am looking forward to working with the team both in Singapore and around the world and tackling some of the key challenges facing our industry and broadening my own horizons in the world of marine engineering,” Rajeev noted.

Rajeev’s sea-going experience saw him climb through the ranks from an engineering cadet with A.P. Moller-Maersk Singapore to Second/Third Engineer on LNG vessels with Shell International London to Chief Engineer onboard XDF LNG vessels and Q max and Q Flex ships with MOL LNG Asia Pvt Ltd. Of note, he sailed as an engineer on the world’s largest LNG carrier LNGC ZARGA.

As a marine engineer, he has a vast amount of experience working on all types of engines for LNG vessels, including Wartsila XDF gas burner engines and DFDE propulsion LNG vessels. His onboard technical experience has meant Rajeev has become a renowned expert in this field, with a deep understanding of the mechanical aspects of modern vessel engines.
