Brookes Bell Announces Promotions Across Global Teams

Brookes Bell is pleased to announce a series of promotions across its global operations, recognising the expertise and continued contribution of colleagues in Hong Kong, Glasgow, Singapore, and at The Lab in Liverpool.

The following appointments have taken effect in July 2026.

Karwei So has been promoted to Senior Scientist in the Hong Kong office. A cargo scientist with a doctorate in Materials Science, Karwei supports clients on cargo deterioration, fires, and mineral issues including liquefaction and contamination.

Bryan Ward has been promoted to Senior Scientist in the Glasgow office. With a background in analytical chemistry, Bryan’s works in fuel chemistry and bunker fuel testing, alongside wider experience across solid bulk, grain, and liquid cargoes.

Hisyam Haron has been promoted to Managing Master Mariner, based in Singapore. A Master Mariner with command experience, Hisyam specialises in dry cargo matters and arbitration proceedings.

Holly Edwards has been promoted to Director of Materials Science, leading the material testing and analysis team at The Lab. Holly has built a strong reputation in material science for the quality and integrity of her work since joining Brookes Bell.
